Often here at Geek Central, we encounter clients that are unable to get on the internet wirelessly. If you are suddenly blocked from web surfing, here are several things to try.
- If you have a laptop, make sure that you have not accidently turned off the wireless antenna. On some laptops, there is a special button that turns the antenna off and on.
- Scan your computer for malware. Often malware will block your internet connection.
- Check your computer clock. Having a time different from what your Internet Service provider has may keep you from getting online
- Check the antenna button on the bottom left of your screen and make sure you are connected to a network that you recognize.
If this does not work, save yourself hours of potential heartbreak and call your local IT Professional. It will be the best call that you make today.
